I bought my Kitty's Diner Nova Mini Backpack because I needed a bag size that was in between the Cats & Corgis backpack and the Tattoo
Studio Phone Pouch that I already have. I was excited for it to arrive, and as usual, I wasn't disappointed. Immediately, I was struck by how cool it is, and to me, this bag just screams "Summer" I actually feel this bag needs to be called She, rather than it, because you can almost feel her personality. The first thing you notice, of course, is the colours. The striking, shimmering blue, representing the inside of the Diner, the red and white awning and the black and white chequerboard floor
It's really clever, and captures the Diner atmosphere perfectly. I love the 50s era and to me, diners and drive-ins sum up the whole retro, youthful, carefree, slightly rebellious vibe, so
I'm immediately drawn to the
jukebox and records on the front, the popcorn & milkshakes on the table, and there's even a menu with prices on it. The doors open to reveal Kitty, the waitress on rollerskates. There is so much detail, and I can't stop looking at it. On to the practical side of this bag - It's a good size for a day or night out, when you don't want or need to be carrying a massive bag, but it's still surprisingly roomy inside. Loads of space for your phone, purse, keys, lipstick, a small hairspray...and that still leaves room for any other essentials. There is a zipped pocket inside, and another pocket which is perfect for for putting anything that you dont want to be searching for. I love that it has a buckle which is easily opened when you need access, but would give you some security when the bag is on your back. There is also a zipped pocket on the outside at the back, which would be perfect for a bank card, or passport and nobody would get near it. It comes with a small hand strap on the top but I prefer to have the bag on my back, so the two detachable straps allow you the option of slinging it over one shoulder as I do, or carrying it with the straps on both shoulders. There are attachments at each side if you want to use it as a convention shoulder bag as well. All in all, this bag is nothing short of a work of art, it is perfect for the cool woman about town who has a wee touch of rebelliousness in her, and it is a thing to be envied. I can tell you, I get comments and questions every time I wear it.
